Angel Food's groceries are sold by the unit with each unit consisting of 17-20 items,
both fresh and frozen items. Average retail is $70-80. One unit feeds a family of four
for a week and a single person for about one month. The food is at the same high quality you would find at the store. There are no limits on the number of units you can purchase and there are no qualifications / applications to fill out. Because Angel Food is a
non-profit organization, food purchased to donate to someone in need is fully tax deductible as a charitable donation. Here at Community Church we have started a
program called "Adopt a Family" where a person can purchase a unit of food every
month to go to a specific family they are assigned to. If you are interested you may call
the church and speak to Tina Tallent to get details. Angel Food Ministries also
participates in the U.S. food voucher system.
